SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 20,2014 <br /> The Board of Park Commissioners of the Park District of the City of South Bend, Indiana met on <br /> Thursday November 20, 2014 at the O'Brien Administration &Recreation Center, 321 E. Walter <br /> St., South Bend, Indiana for a special meeting. Notice of the date,time and place of the meeting <br /> were duly given as required by law. <br /> Park Board members present were as follows: <br /> Mr. Robert Goodrich, President <br /> Mr. Garrett Mullins <br /> Mr. Bruce BonDurant <br /> Park Board members absent were as follows: <br /> Ms. Amy Hill, Vice President <br /> Staff members present: Phil St. Clair,Director of Parks; Bill Carleton,Director of Financial <br /> Services; Cory Hamel, Park Board Attorney <br /> I. The meeting was called to order by Board President Robert Goodrich at 4:00 p.m. <br /> H. The next order of business was unfinished business <br /> 1. Request to approve the staff recommendation for the Viewing Park Use Proposal <br /> Director St. Clair requested the Board to approve the proposal from the University <br /> of Notre Dame that was presented at the November 17, 2014 regular meeting. <br /> Mr. Mullins made a motion to award the use proposal to the University of Notre <br /> Dame and it was seconded by Mr. BonDurant. The motion was approved. <br /> 2. Request to Approve the Construction and Access Agreement for the Viewing <br /> Park Proposal <br /> Director St. Clair requested approval of the Construction and Access Agreement <br /> for the Viewing Park Proposal. <br /> Mr. BonDurant made a motion to approve the Construction and Access <br /> Agreement. Mr. Mullins seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> 3. Request to Approve a Lease Agreement between the South Bend Board of Park <br /> Commissioners and the University of Notre Dame concerning the construction of <br /> a boathouse in Viewing Park. <br /> Director St. Clair made a request of the Board to approve the lease agreement <br /> between the South Bend Board of Park Commissioners and the University of <br /> Notre Dame. The agreement is for fifty years and leases land to the University for <br /> a boathouse in Viewing Park. <br /> Mr. BonDurant made a motion to approve the lease agreement between the South <br /> Bend Board of Park Commissioners and the University of Notre Dame for lease <br /> of land in Viewing Park for the construction of a boathouse.
