HUNT <br />January 8, 2003 EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br />Council Member Karl King, Chairperson <br />Community & Economic Development Committee <br />South Bend Common Council <br />4th Floor, County City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />RE: Residential Real Property Tax Abatement Petition for: <br />D & H Home Builders, Inc. <br />Dear Council Member King: <br />Please find attached the Department of Community & Economic Development's report on a residential <br />real property tax abatement petition for the above referenced petitioner, for thirty new single family <br />homes to be located on lots 100 through 129 of the Royal Oak Estates subdivision, Section 2. Also <br />attached is a copy of the petition, Statement of Benefits form and supporting information. <br />The report contains the Department's findings relative to the above petition. D & H Home Builders <br />proposes to build thirty new homes on lots 100 through 129 of the Royal Oak Estates subdivision, Section <br />2. The homes will be between 1,700 and 3,000 sft. each with three to four bedrooms, two and a half <br />baths on a full basement with a two car attached garage. The cost for each new home is estimated to be <br />around $180,000, making the total project over $5,000,000.
