HUNT <br />March 17, 2003 EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br />Council Member Karl King, Chairperson <br />Community & Economic Development Committee <br />South Bend Common Council <br />4th Floor, County City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />RE: Residential Real Property Tax Abatement Petition for: <br />South Bend Heritage Foundation <br />Dear Council Member King: <br />Please find attached the Department of Community & Economic Development's report on a residential <br />real property tax abatement petition for the above referenced petitioner, for three new single family homes <br />to be located at 1138 Hill Street, 711 St. Peter Street and 713 St. Peter Street. Also attached is a copy <br />of the petition, Statement of Benefits form and supporting information. <br />The report contains the Department's findings relative to the above petition. South Bend Heritage <br />Foundation proposes to build four new homes on the above identified lots. The homes will be built by <br />Garden Homes by E.L., Inc. and will be between 1,036 and 1,300 sft each with three bedrooms, two <br />baths on a full basement with a two car attached garage. The average cost for each new home is estimated <br />to be $95,000.
