Mahler / Stidham Annexation Area 5 <br />K Hiring Plan <br />It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any <br />other governmental entities. The German Township Trustee has been notified of this annexation. <br />SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />A. Public Works <br />Sewer - The sanitary sewer mains are currently in place and available to service the area <br />No additional expenditures will be needed to extend existing sewer main facilities. <br />Water - There is currently a 12" water main on the south side of Cleveland Road. This main will <br />provide more than adequate water capacity for the Annexation Area. A flow test taken at Olive and <br />Cleveland Roads on July 26, 2000 indicated a static pressure of 55 psi, residual pressure of 44 psi, <br />and a flow rate of 1048 gpm. <br />No additional expenditures will be needed to extend existing water main facilities. <br />Street Lighting - Street lighting, if provided, will be paid out of the Airport Economic <br />Development Area TIF. Once installed, the maintenance and utility bill are paid by the City at a <br />cost of approximately $13 per light per month. No determination as been made at this time on the <br />number of street lights that will be required. For purposes of determining an approximate cost, the <br />installation of 3 lights is assumed, but final count is to be determined at time of Public works <br />approval of the engineering and construction drawings. <br />3 x 13 = $39.00 per month x 12 = $468.00 per year x 5 years = $2,340.00 <br />Waivers of Annexation - No waivers of the right to remonstrate against an annexation are in effect <br />for this area. <br />Streets - The Department of Community and Economic Development has programmed <br />improvements on Cleveland Road, which will be called Nimtz Parkway upon annexation. <br />Improvements will be paid out of the Airport Economic Development Area TIF. Upon <br />annexation, this portion of Cleveland Road will add mileage to the roadway inventory. The new <br />mileage will increase distributions to the City's Motor Vehicle Highway Fund and Local Road and <br />Street Account sufficient for street maintenance, sweeping, and snow removal. <br />Drainage Plan - Any improvements to Cleveland Road will require an approved drainage plan. <br />The Sewer Maintenance Bureau will maintain the storm water system with revenues from <br />wastewater collection and treatment. <br />
