ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~ Zb - O~ <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 6 <br />OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE <br />ENTITLED "BUILDING" <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Chapter 6 of the Municipal Code to modify fees and licenses <br />regulations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 6-4 (b)(1), (b)(2), (b)(7), (b)(8), (b)(11) be amended as follows: <br />(b) Unless otherwise provided in the building code, the fees to be charged for the issuance of permits by <br />the Department shall be paid at the time the permit is issued. <br />(1) The fee for permits issued for new construction and building additions shall be based upon <br />the square footage of such new construction or addition at the rate of six cents ($0.06 per <br />square foot for the first one hundred thousand (100,000) square feet and tltrc four cents ($0.04 <br />per square foot for each additional square foot, with a minimum permit fee of $20.00. <br />(2) Permits issued for all alterations, repairs, remodeling of existing structures over five hundred <br />($500.00), and fence installation and in-ground pool installation shall be subject to the following fee schedule: <br />Estimated Construction Costs Permit Fees <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />$1.00 to 1,000.00 .................................................................................................................. 20.00 <br />1,001.00 to 2,000.00 ............................................................................................................. 25.00 <br />2,001.00 to 3,000.00 ................................................................................................. z~:66 30.00 <br />3,001.00 to 4,000.00 ................................................................................................. 3.1-68 35.00 <br />4,001.00 to 5,000.00 ................................................................................................. 388 40.00 <br />5,001.00 to 6,000.00 ................................................................................................. 388 45.00 <br />6,001.00 to 7,000.00 ................................................................................................. 4$-68 50.00 <br />7,001.00 to 8,000.00 ................................................................................................. 4'x66 55.00 <br />
