RESOLUTION
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
<br />CONGRATULATING THE GIRLS EAST SIDE LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM WHO ARE THE
<br />2004 JUNIOR LEAGUE WORLD CHAMPIONS
<br />��1w eaa, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is proud to acknowledge
<br />that a group of thirteen (13) and fourteen (14) year old girls from the East Side Little League girls
<br />softball team experienced a once in a lifetime opportunity this summer;
<br />a eaa, the Council acknowledges that on August 21, 2004, the East Side Little League girls
<br />softball team beat Lee County of Giddings, Texas at a game in Kirkland, Washington, and wrapped up
<br />a perfect Junior League World Series Championship; and
<br />lv"w,w, the East Side Little League girls softball team went 22 -0 through all levels of
<br />tournament play this summer and outscored its rivals 43 -4 at the World Series level which included
<br />representative teams from the United States, Europe, Canada, Asia and Latin America; and
<br />CW& c , the Common Council proudly acknowledges all of the members of this World
<br />Champion Team, namely:

<br />Section I. On behalf of all of the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, the Common
<br />Council hereby publicly commends and congratulates the 2004 World Champion East Side Little
<br />League Junior Girls Softball team for bringing honor to themselves and to the City of South Bend.
<br />Section Il. The Common Council proudly acknowledges that the 2004 World Champion East
<br />Side Little League Junior Girls Softball team outscored their opponents 251 runs to 16 runs in 22
<br />games; and wishes each of the team members continued success and memorable opportunities.
<br />Section III . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the
