Airport Economic Development Area <br /> (2) continued... <br /> Upon a motion by Ms. Schey, seconded by Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br /> Commission approved the subdivision of Lot 4A at Blackthorn Corporate Park into two <br /> one-acre lots. <br /> E. West Washington-Chapin Development Area <br /> There was no business in the West Washington-Chapin Development Area. <br /> F. South Side Development Area <br /> There was no business in the South Side Development Area. <br /> G. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area <br /> There was no business in the Northeast Neighborhood Development Area. <br /> H. Douglas Road Development Area <br /> There was no business in the Douglas Road Development Area. <br /> I. Other <br /> (1) Resolution No. 3253 determining to proceed with amendments to certain development <br /> plans. <br /> Mr. Relos noted that on August 28, 2014 the Commission approved Declaratory <br /> Resolutions No. 3227, 3228 and 3229 beginning the process to realign certain development <br /> areas within the City of South Bend. Per Indiana Code, the resolutions then go to the Area <br /> Plan Commission and Common Council for approval, followed by a Commission public <br /> hearing and consideration of confirming resolutions. With the realignment of certain <br /> existing development areas into other existing development areas, staff has planned to <br /> amend the development plans for those new areas. Additional sites, particularly the City <br /> Cemetery, Leeper Park and the Museum Campus, will be added to the realigned Airport <br /> Economic Development Area so that improvements can be made to these properties. Staff <br /> requests approval of Resolution No. 3253 authorizing staff to amend and bring back to the <br /> Commission amended development plans for the AEDA and NNDA and adding the <br /> additional properties to the AEDA. <br /> Ms. Schey thanked Mr. Ford and the staff for accommodating this request based on input <br /> from the Common Council and public. <br /> 12 <br />
