<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
<br />PUBLICLY COMMENDING THE LA SALLE INTERMEDIATE ACADEMY BOYS BASKETBALL
<br />TEAM FOR WINNING THE CITY TITLE WITH A 10 -0 RECORD
<br />°, lkwxu, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is proud to recognize that
<br />LaSalle Intermediate Academy, located at 2701 West Elwood Avenue in South Bend, Indiana, is one of
<br />the premier Magnet Schools in the South Bend Community School Corporation; and
<br />WA/eewwe , the Council notes that LaSalle has a student enrollment of 741 in grades 5 -8 with a
<br />total of 424 female students and 317 male students who have been chosen to be part of a specialized,
<br />rigorous and comprehensive academic program, epitomized by their ISTEP scores being significantly
<br />higher than the Indiana state averages; and
<br />/,nkeaa, the Council would especially like to publicly recognize the members of the LaSalle
<br />Boys Basketball Team and all of the individuals associated with the LaSalle Lions who won the City
<br />Title with a record of 10 -0, and who have a 29 -1 record for the past three (3) years. Those student -
<br />athletes and staff include:

<br />Section I. On behalf of all of the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, the Common Council
<br />hereby congratulates each and every member of the LA SALLE INTERMEDIATE ACADEMY BOYS
<br />BASKETBALL TEAM along with their Principal, Janet Scott, and their Athletic Coordinator, Colleen
<br />Doyle, for winning the CITY BASKETBALL TITLE WITH A 10-0 RECORD.
<br />Section II. The South Bend Common Council believes that the hard -work, discipline, and
<br />dedication of the student - athletes on the LA SALLE INTERMEDIATE ACADEMY BOYS
<br />BASKETBALL TEAM has enabled each of them to be excellent role models with each team member
<br />bringing the highest of honors to themselves, their family and friends, the LaSalle Intermediate Center,
<br />the South Bend Community School Corporation and all of the residents of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana.
<br />Section III . The Common Council wishes the LA SALLE INTERMEDIATE ACADEMY BOYS
<br />BASKETBALL TEAM the very best in the years ahead, both in the classroom and on the basketball court
<br />as they live by their school's motto that "The World is Our Classroom ".
<br />Section IV . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the
<br />I anc approval by th,q Mayor.
