Picking up on the aspect of building relationships, James Summers spoke to a "Dignity & Respect" <br />program condensed in 30 tips that he thought useful which he would provide to the DUB. <br />Carrie Kosac wondered what process was employed when the City solicits bids and quotes. Eric Horvath <br />said he would get with George King to provide that information. Carrie suggested she heard stories of <br />an "old boy network' in the City's awarding business. She asked further how business opportunities <br />were communicated by the City. Fairness in who, how, and where there might be business opportunity <br />is paramount. Eric Horvath acknowledged protocols and an expanded data. base were needed. <br />James Summers again said communication was key to who we are and what we are trying to do if we <br />are to be effective. <br />Eric Horvath saw a benefit in bringing in the Chamber of Commerce to hear about what we do. <br />Before closing President Summers touched on the idea of Board Training. He suggested a local group by <br />the name of Skylight might be a good facilitator.
