RESOLUTION NO. 1 3 yr <br />WORLD' <br />�e:uor�eayueaoi�uaiiuu.ona enes <br />1+ -- -. ^q +. <br />Ug � 4lSty31d 9th;70i1;4 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />PUBLICLY HONORING SOUTH BEND'S DISTRICT 11 ALL STARS WHO CAPTURED THE 2014 SENIOR <br />SOFTBALL WORLD SERIES CROWN AND ARE NOW THE USA CENTRAL CHAMPIONS <br />CA6w�, the City of South Bend, Indiana, notes that the 2014 Senior League Softball World Series was held <br />at the Lower Sussex Little League Complex in Sussex County, Delaware in August; and <br />� the City of South Bend, Indiana, further notes that the 2014 Senior League Softball World Series <br />was for girls ages 14 to 16 years of age; with each of the teams playing in Delaware having won their regional <br />championship and earning the right to compete in the World Series; and <br />CA6" the Common Council notes USA Central was in the Pool B <br />Division and posted six (6) wins and no losses, with the Championship Game resulting in USA Central beating <br />USA West from Missoula, Montana by a score of 5 -0; and <br />CXA; " on behalf of our entire community, the South Bend Common Council is honored to recognize each <br />of the players, coaches and manager of the victorious South Bend District 11 All Stars representing the USA <br />Central Champions: <br />Makenzzie Kazmierczak <br />Alyssa Gutierrez <br />Katlynn Sopezynski <br />Nichole Kirkpatrick <br />Ashlyn Kopinski <br />Megan Bonk <br />Melissa Hicks <br />Sydney Swartz <br />Megan Riba <br />Taylor Meehan <br />Ashton Woods <br />Jordyn Westphal <br />Dezaray Watts <br />Alexis Riley <br />Madeline Logsdon <br />Mackenzie Shields <br />Matthew Kirkpatrick, Coach <br />Douglas Kazmierczak, Coach <br />Derek Hicks, Manager <br />Section I. The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, publicly honors each of the players, coaches <br />and managers of South Bend's District 11 All Stars who won the 2014 Senior Softball World Series and are the USA <br />Central Champions; the only team since 1997, to win the Little League Senior League World Series Championship in <br />consecutive years!! <br />Section II. A very special thanks and recognition is given to all of the parents, volunteers, friends, and sponsors <br />who donated their time, resources and guidance to make this a great season which created life -time memories for so many; <br />as the girls' hard work and dedication took them all the way to winning the championship in Sussex County, Delaware. <br />Section III. The Council recognizes that each of the members of this great All -Star team represent our City with <br />sportsmanship and class, as epitomized by the role models that each of them have become.
