IV. The next order of business was unfinished business. <br /> 1. Request to Approve 2015 Fees- Susan O'Connor <br /> a. Ms. O'Connor requested approval of the updated 2015 fee schedule. <br /> Mr. BonDurant made a motion to approve the 2015 fee schedule as presented. Ms. <br /> Hill seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> V. The next order of business was new business. <br /> 1. Request for Use of Parks-Paula Garis <br /> a. Howard Park and East Race- September 27, 2014-The Color Run <br /> Ms. Willow Wetherall requested permission to have a 5k race that would include <br /> going through Howard Park and along the East Race. This is a change from last <br /> year's route. <br /> Mr. BonDurant made a motion to approve the use of the parks for the proposed <br /> route. Ms. Hill seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> b. Howard Park- September 10, 2014-Candlelight Vigil- Suicide Prevention Center <br /> Ms. Garis recommended approval of this request. <br /> Mr. Mullins made a motion to approve the request. Ms. Hill seconded the motion <br /> and it was approved. <br /> 2. Request to Rescind Approval of Arborist License <br /> a. Joe Cruz Tree Service <br /> Ms. Greene explained that the Board had approved this license previously, but he <br /> had not passed the test required for approval prior to that. <br /> Mr. BonDurant made a motion to make a recommendation to the City Controller to <br /> revoke the license of Joe Cruz Tree Service. Ms. Hill seconded the motion and it <br /> was passed. <br /> VI. Approval of Minutes <br /> Ms. Hill made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular Board meetings held on June <br /> 16, 2014 and July 21, 2014 as mailed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Mullins and <br /> approved. <br /> VII. Approval of Maintenance Vouchers <br /> A motion was made by Mr. BonDurant to approve the maintenance vouchers for July 2014 <br /> 2014 totaling $1,013,554.17. <br /> It was seconded by Ms. Hill. There being no further discussion, the motion was passed. <br /> VIII. Business by Director St. Clair <br /> 1. Director St. Clair reported that the department will be hosting the International Softball <br /> Championships here in August of next year. They just returned from Canada where it <br /> was held this year and he felt confident that the staff can handle a large tournament like <br /> this one. <br /> 2. Director St. Clair explained the tentative 2015 budget summaries for Park funds. <br /> 3. He distributed a summary of division reports that are compiled for meeting with the <br /> Mayor and staff. <br /> - -3 - - <br />
