White Contact: 235 -5985 <br />Residential Neighborhoods Committee Chairperson <br />611 "Hitting the Pavement" Walking Tour of South Bend Neighborhoods <br />this Wednesday <br />On Wednesday, October 1, 2014, beginning at 5 p.m. City Council Vice- President & Health and <br />Public Safety Committee Chairperson Derek D. Dieter along with his committee and Council Member at <br />Large Karen L. White, the Residential Neighborhoods Committee Chairperson and her Committee <br />members will begin their 6°i walking tour of South Bend neighborhoods. <br />Wednesday's walk will begin at 614 36i1 Street at 5:00 o'clock, then will proceed to the community - <br />built Kids' Kingdom playground in the Potawatomi Park at 5:30 p.m., and then they will walk to <br />various other surrounding locations beginning at 6 p.m. <br />Past "hitting the pavement" tours of South Bend neighborhoods focused on: <br />LaSalle Park Area Neighborhood which took place on July 25, 2014 <br />Coquillard Park Area Neighborhood which took place on June 171 <br />River Park Neighborhood area which took place on June 61 <br />I" District Neighborhoods starting at Diamond and California which took place on May 19th. <br />I" District Neighborhoods starting at Adams and Elwood which took place on AAvri130 "' <br />Is0 District Council Member Tim Scott and 4t' District Council Member Dr. Fred Ferlic have actively <br />participated in past tour. "We are continuing to gather the public's insights firsthand. This is a great <br />method for residents to share their concerns and ideas with us" stated Dieter.
