This plan was created by a <br />committee of members of the South Bend Fire Department representing different demographic groups <br />and all shifts in each Battalion. Meetings were held with third party facilitators in order to analyze issues <br />the Department is experiencing and setting goals in order to mitigate those issues. As this is a living <br />document that will be constantly monitored to analyze improvements to the Department, this internal <br />committee will continue to meet and adjust goals and tactical decisions to address future issues as well. <br />Along with an internal committee, the Department reached out to a group of external stakeholders from <br />throughout the community to gain insight into the service provided by the Department. <br />The members of the South Bend Fire Department are proud of the work that was done to create this plan <br />and I ask that the Council approve it. <br />Than you, <br />Step n "FCox <br />Fire hie <br />ZppP <br />stV <br />/! / <br />JAMES LOPEZ TODD L.
