ORDINANCE jle `T" AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1951 SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, MUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED ($5,500.00) DOLLARS, TO CERTAIN OTHER BUDGETARY ITEMS OF THE 1951 BUDGET OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING AN EXTRA- ORDINARY EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common 8ouneil of the City of South Bend, Indiana: Sect -Von 1. That the following items in the 1951 budget of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, in the departments indicated in this section, be, and the same hereby are, reduced in the amounts herein below stated, to -wit: POLICE DEPARTMENT: P -11, Services Personal 11500.00 SEWER DEPARTMENT: J-+58, Contingencies 21000.00 STREET DEPARTMENT: S -53, Claims, Awards and Indemnities 2,000.00 Section 2. That the sum of Five Thousand Five Hundred 05,500,00) Dollars be, and the same hereby is appropriated from the General Fund of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, to, and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following budgetary items in the amounts and to departments set forth belows . in this Section, in the budget for the year 1951s toy -wit: POLICE DEPARTMENT: P -223, Instructions 700000 P332, Oil 100.00 P -334, Other Garage and Motor Supplies 200000 P -38, General Supplies 500.00 STREET DEPARTMENT: S -212, Postage 15.00 S -251, Repairs to buildings and structures 1,000.00 S ^262, Medical and surgical service 500600 S ^333, Tires and tubes 500.00 S ^724, Motor equipment 1:;985°00 Section 3. That the sum of monies, enumerated in Section 2 of this Ordinance, are required and necessary for the proper and efficient operation and function of the aforementioned departments of the Government of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, and an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist eoncernt ing the foregoing appropriations.
