ORDINANCE NO. &J' (O <br />AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1951 <br />MUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY BUDGET OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA; AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL <br />FUND OF SAID CITY THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND SEVEN <br />HUNDRED($19700.00) DOLLARS TO CERTAIN OTHER BUDGETARY <br />ITEMS OF THE 1951 BUDGET OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING <br />AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />Section 1. That the following items in the 1951 Budget of <br />the MuniApal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, in the Departments <br />indicated in this section, be, and the same hereby are reduand -in <br />the amounts herein below stated, to -wit: <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY: <br />DOG POUND: <br />K -334,, Other Garage and Motor Supplies 0 50.00 <br />K -38, General Supplies 100.00 <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />Q -111 Services, Personal 1,450.00 <br />WEIGHTS AND MEASURES: <br />R -331, Gasoline 50000 <br />R -38, General Supplies 50000 <br />Section 20 That the sum of One 'Thousand Seven Hundred ($1,700000) <br />Dollars, be, and the same hereby is appropriated from the General Fund <br />of the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, to, and is for <br />the uses and purposes of the following budgetary items in the amounts <br />and to the Departments set forth below, in this Section, in the Budget <br />for the year 1951, to -Jit; <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY: <br />DOG POUND: <br />1d&2W KAftd ��1 K -317, Dog Food 0150,00 <br />II�Tfii �F ryE �t FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />ME'7-9 -a/ Q -2142 Telegraph and Telephone 250000 <br />M BEAD '7 -9 -3/ @ -252, Repairs to equipment 1,200,00 <br />W A"EM WEIDGHTS AND MEASURES: <br />R-12, Salary of City Sealerts Helper 100000 <br />Section 3, That the sum of monies, enumerated in Section 2 of <br />this Ordinance, are required and necessary for the proper and efficient <br />operation and function of the aforementioned Department of the Govern- <br />ment of the Mun &cipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana and an extra- <br />ordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist concerning the foregoing <br />appropriations. <br />Section 40 That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br />fpm and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the <br />Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements relative to <br />extraordinary emergency appropriations. <br />Tia r. • is 5 •�, � • <br />
