ORDINANCE NO. � / 2 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $40,000 FROM THE GENERAL <br />FUND TO SANITATION DEPARTMENT AND $3300.00 FROM THE <br />STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND TO STREET DEPARTM3NT S -251 <br />REPAIRS OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY, ALL OF THE BUDGET FOR 1953 OF THE CIVIL <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $40,000 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund <br />of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, for the operation of the Sanitation <br />Department, for the period from October 1, 1953 to January 11 1954 as follows: <br />XX -11 Salary of Foreman $ 11500.00 <br />Salary of Heavy Equipment Operator 11603.00 <br />Salary of Eight Drivers at $}975.00 each 70800.00 <br />Salary of Eighteen Laborers at $780.00 each $p14jO40.00 <br />XX -26 Payments to Dependable Disposal Co., Inc. <br />3 payments at $p41812.50 $14,437.50 <br />XX-33 Gas and Oil $ 619.50 <br />Total x`40,000.00 <br />SECTION II. The sum of $3300.00 is hereby appropriated from Street and <br />Traffic Fund to Street Department S -251 Repairs of Buildings and Structures. <br />SECTION III. The above funds are required for the proper operation and <br />functioning of the aforementioned departments under the budget for the year <br />1953, and an extraordinary emergency is hereby declared to exist requiring <br />said funds and appropriations. <br />SECTION IV.
