194w r FC ftwo Hm ORDIN1010E NO. AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THE BOARD OF C012II ISSION'ERS OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, IDID1ANA AND THE BOARD OF PARK COAINIISSIONERS OF SOUTH BEAID, INDIANA FOP, THE EXCHANGE OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the civil City of South Bond, Indiana: SEGTiUN 1. That a certain contract entered into on May 25, 1953 between the Board of Public Works and Safety of South Bend, Indiana, the Board of Com- missioners of St. Joseph County, Indiana and the Board. of Park Commissioners of South Bend, Indiana for the conveyance by the City of South Bend of fifty (50) feet off of the entire East end of a tract of land owned by the City of South Bend known as Veterans Memorial Park to St. Joseph County, and for the conveyance by the County to the City of South Bend of a thirty (30) foot strip of land for street purposes for the continuation of Twentieth Street in said City and for the conveyance by the County to the City of the land known as "the old fair grounds" and used as Pottawatomi Park is hereby ratified and confirmed and the Board of Public i•lorks and Safety of said City and the proper legal officers thereof are hereby authorized to execute deeds of conveyance and to accept deeds of conveyance for the purpose of carrying out the terms of said SECTION II.
