<br />AN ORDINANCE AIv1ENDINC SECTIONS 55 an 59 OF CHAPTER 29 OF
<br />ORDINANCE 3709 APPROVED JULY 12,1949, COMMONLY KNOWN AS
<br />"MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, 1949."
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana:
<br />SECTION I.
<br />That Section 55 of Chapter 29 of Ordinance 3709, approved July 12,
<br />1949, and commonly known as the UMUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA, 1949" be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
<br />SEC.55. ZONES
<br />The following names and designated areas, streets or portion of
<br />streets and such other areas, streets, or portions of streets as may here-
<br />after be included in this section by amendment hereto, lying within the
<br />corporate limits of the city, shall constitute and are hereby established as
<br />Parking Meter zones, and all frontage in such squares, streets or avenue
<br />defining the zones to be included therein, namely:
<br />Michigan St. from Marion St. to Bronson St.
<br />Michigan St.. the east side thereof, from Bronson St. to Ohio St.
<br />Michigan St., the west side thereof, from Bronson St. to Garst St.
<br />Main St. from Madison St. to Monroe St,
<br />Lafayette Blvd. from Madison St. to South St.
<br />St.Joseph St. from Lincoln Way East to South St.
<br />LaSalle Ave, from William St, to east end of St,Joseph River bridge
<br />Colfax Ave. from A chigan St, to William St.
<br />Washington Ave. from William St. to Artesian Ave.
<br />Jefferson Blvd, from William St, to west end of St.Joseph River bridge
<br />Wayne St. from William St. to Carroll St.
<br />Western Ave, from Michigan St. to Taylor St.
<br />Monroe St, from William St. to St.Joseph St.
<br />South St. from Main St. to St,Joseph St.
<br />Lincoln Way East from Washington Ave. to Columbia St,
<br />Lincoln Way West from LaSalle Ave, to William St,
<br />Franklin St. from Wayne St. to Monroe St.
<br />Carroll St. from Lincoln Way East to Wayne St.
<br />Madison St. from Lafayette Blvd, to a point 180 ft. east of Michigan St.
<br />Franklin St. from Washington Ave. to Jefferson Blvd.
<br />SECTION II•
<br />That Section 59 (b) of Chapter 29 of Ordinance 3709 approved July
<br />12,1949, and commonly known as the „MUNICIPAL CODE OF TEE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA, 194911, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:

<br />` zone betweenthe hours of 8:00 A.M. and 6 :00 P.M. on any

<br />holidays; provided, however, that within the meaning of this
<br />3rd REAOIN division the term "holidays shall include the following days

<br />the Fourth of July, the First Monday in September, the Twenty -
<br />RUERMO fifth day of December, and the day designated and set aside

<br />SECTION; III.
<br />This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
<br />adoption, approval by the Mayor, and legal public'4ion.
