ORDINANCE NO. 0312`11 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 1707 SOUTH BEND AVENUE, COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT NO. 4 IN <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />To change from current LB zoning district to proposed GB zoning district for the purpose <br />of Automobile sales. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana as follows: <br />SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 9495 -04, is amended, which ordinance is commonly known <br />as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is <br />amended in order that the zoning classification of the following described real estate in <br />the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana: <br />A part of a certain two acre tract situated in the southeast quarter of section 31, <br />township 38 north, range 3 east, which two acres, triangular in form, is taken off of and <br />from the entire width of the east side of the following described 8.50 acre tract, to -wit: <br />beginning at a point on the south line of said section, 6.55 chains east of the southwest <br />corner of said southeast quarter; thence running east to the center of the Edwardsburg <br />Road, running through said quarter section; thence northeasterly along the center of <br />said road to the north line of the south half of the south half of said quarter section; <br />thence west to a point directly north of the place of beginning; thence south to the place <br />of beginning. <br />The portion of said two acre tract herein considered, is bounded by a line running as <br />follows, viz: beginning at the point of intersection of the northwesterly line of said <br />Edwardsburg Road with the west line of the two acre tract above described; thence <br />running north 34 degrees 26 minutes east, along the northwesterly line of said <br />Edwardsburg Road, a distance of 177 feet; thence north 55 degree 34 minutes west, at <br />right angles with said Edwardsburg Road, a distance of 121.4 feet to at point due north <br />of the place of beginning; thence south 214.6 feet to the place beginning. <br />be and the same is hereby established as GB General business District. <br />SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br />passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and legal publication. <br />
