Recommendation: Based on information available prior to the public hearing the staff recommends the rezoning petition be sent to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation. The staff recommends approval of variance 42 and denial of variances #1, 3 and 4. Analysis: The rezoning request is an appropriate extension for the use of the newly renovated apartments, providing much - needed parking that was not available before. The denial of the variances re- enforces the need to buffer and provide a safe environment for the existing residences, for the travelling public and for the residents of the apartment buildings.
