ORDINANCE N0. o D <br />AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING POSSESSION, <br />DISPLAY OR USE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES <br />IN CERTAIN PUBLIC PLACES APED PROVIDING <br />PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I: It shall be unlawful for any person to carry any alcoholic <br />spirituous beverage or beverage containing alcohol into any public building, <br />park, school, playground, recreation or athletic field, stadium or place where- <br />in any public entertainment or public meeting is held for the purpose of con- <br />suming the same or -for displaying the same or for the purpose of selling, <br />furnishing or giving away the same to another on said premises or for the <br />purpose of having the same then or there served to him or another, and it shall <br />be unlawful for any person to consume the same in any said place or consume the <br />same upon the streets, alleys or sidewalks of said City. <br />SECTION II: The provisions of this Ordinance shall not apply to any <br />place properly licensed by the Alcoholic Beverage Commission of Indiana. <br />SECTION III: Upon conviction of any offense enumerated in Section I <br />hereof, such person shall be fined in any sum not less than $25.00 nor more th <br />$100.00 to which may be added imprisonment in the County Jail for not more than <br />10 days. <br />SECTION IV: All existing Ordinances of the City of South Bend that may be <br />inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
