PUBLIC WORKS AND PROPERTY VACATION OCTOBER 27, 2008 <br />Committee Members Present: David Varner, Chairperson; Tom LaFountain, Vice-Chairperson; <br />Henry Davis <br />Other Council Members Present: Timothy Rouse, AI "Buddy" Kirsits, Ann Puzzello <br />Others Present: Rita Kopala, Gary Gilot, Tom Bodnar, Janice Talboom, Jim Bognar, Paul Cholis, <br />John Voorde, Kathy Cekanski-Farrand <br />BILL N0.50-08 -ALLEY VACATION JUST WEST OF 807 W. WASHINGTON <br />Chairperson Varner called the meeting to order and asked the petitioner, Jim Bognar, for his <br />presentation. Mr. Bognar indicated his petition received favorable recommendations from the <br />Engineer's office, the Community & Economic Development Department, the Area Plan <br />Commission and the Police Department. The Fire Department had concerns about access to <br />cross-alley structures; but access assurances placated any of these worries. These concerns <br />resolved, Tom LaFountain motioned followed by a second from Henry Davis to send the petition <br />to Council with a favorable recommendation. <br />There being no further business to come before the committee, Chairperson Varner adjourned <br />the meeting at 3:52 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />_._._~ <br />David Varner, Chairperson, Public Works and Property Vacation <br /> <br />
