Substitute Bill No. 17 -14 <br />Responsible Animal and Pet Ownership Care and Control Regulation Ordinance <br />Page 62 <br />Sec. 5 -111 Penalties. <br />(a)Violators shall be issued a citation and fined by a law enforcement officer or animal control <br />officer as follows: <br />Section Violated Type of Violation Amount of Fine <br />Sec. 5 -17 Failure to Remove Animal Waste $50.00 to $2,500.00 <br />Sec. 5 -21 Running at Large $50.00 to $2,500.00 <br />Sec. 5 -33 Barking/Animal Noise $50.00 to $2,500.00 <br />Sec. 5 -52 Failure to Register Pet $50.00 to $2,500.00 <br />Sec. 5 -52 Failure to Obtain Rabies Vaccination $50.00 to $2,500.00 <br />Unless specified otherwise in this Chapter Aany person violating any of the other provisions of this <br />chapter shall be fined for each offense, in any sum not less than $50 nor more than $2,500 and each <br />day's violation shall constitute a separate offense. <br />(b)Upon finding of violations of this Chapter, the City may seek injunctive relief through the <br />court which may order relinquishment of an animal(s) deemed to be a public safety risk and /or a <br />repetitive public nuisance that has not been abated or an animal that is a victim of cruelty, neglect, or <br />abandonment, to the Division of Animal Care and Control for disposition. <br />(c)In the event that an animal is retained at the Division of Animal Care and Control because its <br />owner or harborer has been in violation of this Chapter, the person redeeming the animal by paying the <br />prescribed fees shall also be required to pay the costs incurred by the Division of Animal Care and <br />Control for impoundment and caring for including but not limited to: <br />1. surgeries, <br />2. vaccines, <br />3. x -rays, <br />4. medications, exams, lab work, <br />5. boarding, <br />6. rescue equipment, and/or <br />7. perishable personal protection equipment. <br />(b) LdLViolations of this Chapter may result in immediate impoundment of animal(s). <br />(e) Le) Violation of any provision of this Chapter may result in revocation of any permit(s) and <br />may require a re- inspection prior to reinstatement upon approval. <br />(d) (f) Upon finding an owner or harborer guilty of violations for this Chapter, the court may <br />order restitution including but not limited to: <br />
