NOT �', Gk gj <br />REF613EO <br />PASSE? _ c3 <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING A GENERAL IMPROVEMENT <br />FUND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, REPAIR OR IMPROVE- <br />MENT OF STREETS, ALLEYS, SIDEWALKS, CURBS, <br />GUTTERS AND SEWERS UNDER AUTHORITY OF CHAPTER <br />40 OF THE 1953 ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY <br />OF INDIANA. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the civil City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I6 There is hereby created and established under authority of <br />Chapter 40 of The 1953 Acts of The General Assembly of Indiana a fund to be <br />known as the General Improvement Fund to be used,as. a fund to pay for the con- <br />struction] repair or improvement of streets, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, gutters <br />and sewers in the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />SECTION II: Said fund shall consist of funds realized from the collection <br />of all special assessments for benefits to property from the construction, <br />repair or improvement of streets, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, gutters and sewers, <br />together with any appropriation made from the General Fund of the City or from <br />taxes levied by the Common Council of said City for such purposes, <br />SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />its adoption by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor and compliance with <br />statutory Provisions concerning a public hearing and presentation to the State <br />Board of T,ax Commissioners for approval. <br />r <br />44 <br />E WHOU <br />Common <br />
