ORDINANCE NO, {�? 9 " <br />Ali ORDINANCE ANEADING SECTION 36 OF <br />CHAPTER 29 OF GENERAL ORDINANCE NO. <br />3709 KNO ?dN AS THE 1949 MUNICIPAL <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA BY ADDING THERETO A SECTION <br />TO BE KNOWN APED DESIGNATED AS SECTION <br />36b REGULATING PARKING OF VEHICLES <br />ON CERTAIN STREETS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I!: That Section 36 of Chapter 29 of General Ordinance No. 3709 known <br />as The 1949 Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana be, and the same <br />is, hereby amended by the addition of the following paragraph: <br />36b. ALL NIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED ON ALTERNATE SIDES OF <br />DESIGNATED STREETS. It shall be unlawful for any person, <br />firm or corporation, to stop, stand or park a vehicle, or <br />to cause or permit a vehicle to be parked or left unattended <br />between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 5:00 A.M. from the last <br />Sunday in September to the last Sunday in April and between <br />the hours of 1:00 A.M. and 4 :00 A.M. from the last Sunday <br />in April to the last Sunday in September of each year upon <br />the following public streets: <br />hereby <br />SECTIO <br />its ad, <br />2nd REARM —e'L4 •. <br />-: :TEE OF THE HOLE 12-- <br />18 IKAR4i 6 <br />*:AG" <br />?JT A0?k0dE0 <br />WE'I= <br />PASSED <br />Angela Boulevard - from Michigan Street to Portage Avenue; <br />Diamond Avenue - from Portage Avenue to Lincoln Way West; <br />Lindsey Street - from Portage Avenue to Blaine Avenue; <br />Elwood Avenue - from Portage Avenue to Goodland Avenue; <br />Linden Avenue - from Walnut Street to Bendix Drive; <br />Washington Avenue - from Lafayette Boulevard to Olive Street; <br />Fassnacht Avenue - from Laporte Avenue to Johnson Street; <br />Ford Street - from Kosciuszko Street to Lombardy Drive; <br />LaSalle Avenue - from Greenlawn Avenue to Hydraulic Avenue; <br />Bendix Drive - from Sample Street to Lip-den Avenue; <br />Mishawaka Avenue - from Eddy Street to Logan Street; <br />Indiana Avenue - from Miami Street to Prairie Avenue; and <br />Calvert Street - from Ironwood Drive to Kemble Avenue <br />excepting, unless and provided that said vehicle be parked <br />on the even numbered side of the street on those nights <br />bearing an even calendar date for the portion thereof before <br />midnight end on the odd numbered side of the street on those <br />nights bearing an odd calendar date during the portion <br />thereof before midnight. <br />Nothing herein should be construed to permit any vehicle to <br />be parked in any parking area where parking is prohibited by <br />the terms of any other ordinance. <br />Nothing herein shall be construed to prohibit physicians' <br />or emergency vehicles from being parked while engaged in <br />emergency duties nor shall taxi cabs be prohibited from <br />standing in any established taxi stand, provided the same <br />are attended by the drivers thereof. <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are <br />aled. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />by the Common Council, approval by the Mayo /ry and le al publication <br />`� Member of the Common Council <br />
