PETITION FOR ANNEXATION <br />To the Honorable Common Council of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />Gentlemen: <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />February 1, 1957 <br />Marshall Heights Realty Company respectfully represents and alleges: <br />1. Petitioner is the owner in fee simple of a tract of land in the <br />North East Quarter Q) of Section No. 30 and an adjoining tract of land on the <br />South One -Half (2) of Section No. 19, both tracts being in Township No. 37 North, <br />Range No. 3 East, St. Joseph County, Indiana, which tracts are more particularly <br />described as follows: <br />A parcel of land in the South one -half (2) of Section <br />No. 19, Township No. 37 North, Range No. Three (3) East, <br />bounded by a line running as follows, viz: Commencing at a <br />point on the South line of said Section No. 19, a distance of <br />938.65 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Section; <br />running thence North a distance of 291.6 feet; thence West <br />1119.6 feet; thence South 291.6 feet to the South line of said <br />Section; thence East on said South line a distance of 1119.6 <br />feet to the place of beginning. <br />A part of Lot Numbered Three (3) in the Northeast Quarter <br />of Section Numbered Thirty (30), Township Numbered 37 North, <br />Range Numbered Three (3) East, as shown on the Plat of Division <br />in the Partition in the St. Joseph Circuit Court at the October <br />Term 1878 in which Sarah Denslow was plaintiff and Robert G. <br />Denslow and others were defendants, a transcript of which partition <br />is recorded in Deed Record Volume 60, page 338, of the records of <br />St. Joseph County, Indiana, which part is bounded by a line running <br />as follows, viz: Beginning at a point 1315 feet West of the North- <br />east corner of said Section Numbered Thirty (30), Township Numbered <br />37 North, Range Numbered Three (3) East; thence continuing West 744 <br />feet; thence South 477 feet; thence East 744 feet; thence North 477 <br />feet to the place of beginning. <br />2. Petitioner has prepared and now awaits preliminary approval of a plat <br />of the above described real estate as a residential area. <br />3.
