ORDINANCE NO. G G <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE INSPECTOR <br />OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SUB- STANDARD BUILD- <br />INGS AND DWELLINGS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND TO REMOVE OR DEMOLISH A CERTAIN <br />DWELLING KNOWN AS NO. 229 -231 SOUTH CHAPIN <br />STREET IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />it it it it : <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana: <br />SECTION 1: WHEREAS on or about the 24th day of October, 1955, <br />heInspector of the Department of Sub - Standard Buildings and <br />Dwellings of the City of South Bend issued a determination that <br />the dwelling known as 229 -231 South Chapin Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana and described as follows: <br />North 47 Feet except 12 Feet of <br />Lot 9, Thomas Sub- Division of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />is unfit for human habitation and is dangerous and in said de- <br />termination, a copy of which was served upon the legal owners <br />thereof_,. namely, Mr. Charles Wexler, was ordered to remove or <br />demolish said dwelling on or before the 24th day of November, <br />1955, and <br />WHEREAS said dwelling has not been removed or demolished pur- <br />suant to said determination. <br />Now, therefore, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance <br />No. 3989 of the City of South Bend Said Inspector is ordered to <br />proceed to effectuate the purpoees of said ordinance with re- <br />spect to said property by removal or demolishment of said <br />dwelling. <br />SECTION 11: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br />rom and af ter its adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br />[at P• 2nd fti,s'.`; ^, /�. p2 ��k6" l3 <br />Member of - he Common ,Council. <br />3rd GEIl:.:.i <br />
