Mr. Leone stated that although the <br />City and the Union were unable to come to an agreement on terms of a new contract, they did <br />agree to the Letter of Understanding outlining changes in the terms of the old contract regarding <br />hiring and promotions. He noted the Letter of Understanding would be effective through 2009. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Cottrell, seconded • Mr. Reed and carried, the Letter of Understanding <br />was approved.
