r <br />ORDINANCE NO; `►' /30 <br />FREDA G: NOBLE <br />CITY CLERK <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BENDeINDIANA. TO MAKE AMOAIFICATION <br />AGREEMENT TO LEASE CERTAIN REAL. ESTATE <br />PROPERTY TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, that; <br />1. The City of South Bend, Indiana, by and through the proper officers <br />and officials be and it hereby is authorized to make a modification agreement of <br />existing lease between the United States of America and the City of South Bend <br />wherein the property is used as a Naval Reserve Armory. The description of the <br />real estate now owned is as-fonows: <br />Beginning at a point 195. 5 feet West and 187. 7 feet North <br />of the Southeasterly Corner of Lot 20 in August Beyerls <br />First Addition to the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, <br />Indiana, thence North and Northwesterly along the Westerly <br />right of wayline of North Side Boulevard to the point of <br />intersection of the said Westerly line and the North and <br />South center line of Notre Dame Avenue extended; thence due <br />South to the St. Joseph River, thence Southerly and Easterly <br />along the meandering line of the St. Joseph River tea <br />point due West of the point of beginning, thence due East to <br />North Side Boulevard, and the point of beginning, all in the <br />East half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 12, Township 37 <br />North, Range 2 East, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />containing approximately 6. 8 acres, more or less. <br />2. Upon compliance with the provisions of Chapter 131 of the Acts of the <br />Indiana General Assembly for 1947 the lease hereby authorized shall be valid <br />without further approval by the Common Council. <br />3.
