ORDINANCE NO, _11Io` <br />AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE NUMBER OF LIEUTENANTS <br />IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT UNDER P1 SERVICES PERSONAL <br />TO EIGHT, AND REDUCING THE NUMBER OF SERGEANTS IN <br />THE POLICE DEPARTMENT UNDER Pl l SERVICES PERSONAL <br />TO FIFTEEN AND ASSIGNING THE LIEUTENANT TO THE DE- <br />PARTMENT OF CIVIL DEFENSE FOR 1956 <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, <br />Indiana: <br />SECTION I: That the appointment of an additional Lieutenant in the Police <br />Department be and is hereby authorized.for 1956. <br />SECTION II. That the reduction of one Sergeant in the Police Department <br />be and is hereby authorized.for 1956. <br />SECTION III. That the additional Lieutenant be assigned to the Department of <br />Civil Defense.for 1956. <br />SECTION IV.
