ORDINANCE NO.' <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A TRACT <br />OF LAND OWNED BY THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, ST, JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA, DESCRIBED AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />A strip of land Fifty (50) feet wide located in the <br />Northwest quarter (1/4) of the Northwest one quarter <br />(1/4) of Section One (1) in Township Thirty-Seven <br />(37) North, Range Two (2) East, South Bend, Indiana, <br />and more particularly described as folrows: All <br />right of way adjacent to and East of the Michigan <br />Central. Railroad Company's right of way lying south <br />of the south line of Angela Boulevard and the north <br />line of Pokagon Street; the above described tract be- <br />ing a part of land which was conveyed to the grantors <br />predecessors in title by Samuel Leeper and wife on <br />July 17;x'1902 and recorded in the records of St. Joseph <br />County in Deed Record 122, page 379 <br />WHEREAS, the Municipal City of South Bend is the owner of a certain tract of <br />land located in the City of South Bend, St, Joseph County, Indiana, and <br />WHEREAS, the said real estate herein described is conducive to no public use <br />by the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, in the best interests of said City <br />should be sold. <br />NOW, THEREFORE,, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION L That the Judge of the St, Joseph County Circuit Court be re- <br />quested to appoint three disinterested freeholders of the City <br />of South Bend to appraise a tract of land now owned by the <br />Municipal City of South Bend, located in the City of South Bend, <br />St, Joseph County, Indiana, described as follows: <br />A strip of sand Fifty (50) feet wide located in the <br />Northwest quarter (1/4) of the Northwest one quarter <br />(1/4) of Section One (1) in Township Thirty(-Seven (37) North <br />Range Two (2) East, South Bend, Indiana, and more parti- <br />cularly described as follows: All right of way adjacent to <br />and East of the Michigan Central Railroad Company's right <br />of way lying south of the south line of Angela Boulevard and <br />the north line of Pokagon Street; the above described tract <br />being a part of land which was conveyed to the grantors pre- <br />decessors in title by Samuel Leeper and wife on July 17th; <br />1902 and recorded in the records of St, Joseph County in <br />Deed Record 122, page 379, <br />
