x .......................... r.. ... ........................... <br />......... .... ..... .. ........ ...... 4r ....... <br />.............' .� .... <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1, 2, 3, 5, <br />6, 7, 9, 10 AND 17, OF ORDINANCE NO. 3973 <br />ADOPTED ON THE 12th DAY OF APRIL., 1954 <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the Civil City of South Bend, <br />Indiana: <br />SECTION I: That paragraph B of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3973 adopted <br />on the 12th day of April, 1954 be and the same is hereby amended to read <br />as follows: <br />B. Residential and Commercial Heating, residential air conditioning <br />and ventilating equipment, systems, inspectors, examining and <br />control boards, licenses or contractors as used herein shall include <br />all devices for warm air heating, residential cooling, humidifying, <br />de- humidifying or ventilating all or parts of any public or private <br />building within the City of South Bend, Indiana and shall include all <br />parts thereof. <br />SECTION II: That the first paragraph of Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3973 <br />adopted on the 12th day of April, 1954 be and the same is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />There is hereby created the office of Residential and Com- <br />mercial Heating, Residential Air Conditioning and ventilating In- <br />spector, hereafter referred to as the Inspector. <br />SECTION III: That paragraph five of Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3973 adopted <br />on the 12th day of April, 1954 be and the same is hereby deleted. <br />SECTION IV: That the title to Section 5 of Ordinance No. 3973 adopted on <br />The 12th day of April, 1954 be and the same is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br />HEATINGs RESIDENTIAL AIR CONDITIONING <br />AND VENTILATING EXAMINING-BOARD CREATED, <br />SECTION V: That the second paragraph of Section 6 of Ordinance No. 3973 <br />adopted on the 12th day of April, 1954 be and the same is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />New licenses or renewals shall not be issued without written <br />approval of the Chief Inspector. <br />SECTION VI: That the third and fourth paragraphs of Section 6 of Ordinance <br />No. 3973 adopted on the 12th day of Ap 4 e are hereby <br />deleted. <br />JA. ry 51857 <br />FREDA 0.
