" <br />WHEREAS, the City of SaiW:Bend,.i,$ in'$he classification of a <br />second class city as set out in the statute cited aboLer -- <br />NO4V, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIyD by thg;;G,omrdn ;Council of the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana: <br />SECTION I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated from the <br />General Fund, $1, 125. 00, to Office of City Clerk, Account C -11, Salary <br />of City Clerk, all of the budget for the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, for <br />1957, and declaring an extraordinary emergency. <br />SECTION II. The above funds are required for the proper operation and <br />functioning of the aforementioned department under the budget for the year <br />1957 and an extraordinary emergency is declared to exist concerning said <br />appropriation. <br />SECTION III. That the City Clerk be entitled to receive the difference in <br />salary as set out in the above statute and her present salary retroactive to <br />the 1st day of April, 1957. <br />SECTION IV.
