South Bend Central Development Area <br />(14) continued... <br />Mr. Gibney noted that the total cost of these <br />acquisitions is $291,500 which is within the <br />2008 downtown budget for Coveleski <br />Neighborhood. <br />Ms. Jones asked if GMS, Shaw/Park, and <br />Zubkoffs are willing to take the offering <br />price, with no counter offer. Mr. Gibney <br />responded that they have indicated they will <br />accept the offering price. <br />Ms. Jones noted that the Coveleski Plan is <br />consistent with City Plan, including City <br />Plan's desire to increase housing in the <br />downtown. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2496 <br />approving and accepting a counteroffer for <br />the acquisition of property in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (416 Western <br />Ave.) <br />(15) Resolution No. 2516 approving and <br />authorizing the execution of an Agency <br />Agreement by and between the South <br />Bend Redevelopment Commission and the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, Board of <br />Public Works relating to the Century <br />Center /Sculpture Garden project. <br />Mr. Inks noted that at its last meeting the <br />Commission approved moving ahead with <br />the Sculpture Garden project.
