Peterson, <br />Sacred Heart Church for Diocese of Fort Wayne, Inc., to <br />annex to the City of South Bend the following described <br />property Beginning at a point in the SW4, Sec. 27, <br />T38N, R2E, at the intersection of the East -West center- <br />line of Section 27 and the present North -South city <br />limits, thence South along said City Limits for a dis- <br />tance of Six Hundred Eighty and Seventy -Four Hundredths <br />(680.74) feet to a point of intersection of said City <br />Limits and the North line of Highland Cemetery extended <br />East, thence West along the North line of Highland <br />Cemetery for a distance of Five Hundred Eighty (580) feet, <br />more or less, to a cross in a concrete marker, thence <br />North for a distance of Six Hundred Eighty and Seventy - <br />four Hundredths (680.74) feet to the East -West center- <br />line of said Section 27, thence East along the East - <br />West centerline of said Section 27 for a distance of Five <br />Hundred Eighty (580) feet, more or less, to the point of <br />beginning containing approximately Nine (9) acres was <br />legally advertised on August 22, 1960 and given public <br />hearing under date of September 8, 1960. The following <br />action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found <br />that in their opinion: <br />1. The annexation is in the best interests of <br />the city and of the territory sought to be <br />annexed. <br />
