/ \\A\O D BEi.'iONSTRI&NCE VJE, the undersigned, do remonstrate and object to the passage by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, of Ordinance No. entitled "An Ordinance Annexing To And Bringing within The City Limits of South Bend, Indiana, Certain Lands11, which purports to annex the following described real estate to the City of South Bend, to -wit: Beginning at the intersection of the present city limits and the east section line of Section 26, T37N, R2E thence south along the east section line of Sec. 26, TE M, R2E2 to a point which is 440 feet, more or less, north of the east -west centerline of said Sec. 269 thence west parallel with the east west centerline of Sec. 26 for a distance of 400 feet, more or less, thence south parallel with the east section line of said Sec. 26 for a distance of 400 feet, more or less, to the north right - of -way line of Ireland Road, thence west along the north right -of -way line of Ireland Road to the inter- section of said right -of -way and the east right-of-way line of the Pennsylvania Railroad, thence northeast along the east right -of -way line of the Pennsylvania Railroad to an intersection of said right -of -way line and the present city limits, thence east along the present city limits to the place of beginning containing approximately 1000 acres, as the undersigned do constitute a majority of the owners of land in the above described territory and, further, they are the owners of more than Seventy Five (750) per cent of the assessed valuation of the land in the above described territory.
