The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend. South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: The attached petition of the Common Council to rezone the property being described as beginning at the northeast corner of Bendix Drive and Ardmore Trail, thence north along the east right -of -way line of Bendix Drive for a distance of 218 feet, more or less, thence southeast parallel with the south right -of -way line of Lincoln Way West for a distance of 310 feet, more or less, to a point on the north right -of -way line of Ardmore Trail, thence southwest along the north right -of -way line of Ardmore Trail to the point of beginning from "B" Residen- tial Use and "A" Height and Area District to "C" Commer- cial Use and I'D'.' Height and Area District was legally advertised under date of September 25, 1961 and given public hearing on October 5, 1961. The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found: 1• That the land in question is the south one -half of a triangular shaped lot the north one -half of which is used and zoned commercially. 2. That the land in question is vacant and. always has been. 3. That the best use of the land in question is commer- cial. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the attached petition be recommended favorably to the Common Council.
