Washington St. <br />Bill No. 14 -46 Resolution approving issuance of bonds <br />Update — TI F Process / Scott Ford <br />Four items were on the agenda for Chairman Gavin Ferlic's Community Investment Committee. <br />Included were two abatements, an approval for the refinancing of outstanding bonds and a review of <br />the TIF process by Community Investment Director Scott Ford. <br />The first abatement petition, Bill No. 14 -44, was submitted by Robert and Catherine Kossler asking for a <br />five year real property abatement for a new home being built at 1020 St. Peter St. <br />Kathy Hahn from the Community Investment Department reported the petition met all criteria for the <br />abatement to be allowed. Catherine Kossler was present to answer any questions. <br />Derek Dieter motion to send favorably was seconded by Valerie Schey and affirmed by all. <br />The second abatement petition was for a four year real property abatement. The petition was intended <br />to help with the financing of the rehabilitation of the Chase Tower. <br />Kathy Hahn reported that the petition met all the criteria to allow approval. Andrew Nemeth, a <br />principal in the property management group undertaking the multimillion dollar project made some <br />brief explanatory comments. He and Brock Zeeb from Community Investment were available to answer <br />any specific questions. <br />Ultimately on a motion by Derek Dieter, seconded by Valerie Schey, and supported by all the bill was <br />sent to Council favorably. <br />
