Where a time switch is used to control a sign, a manually operable switch <br />shall be installed ahead or on the outside of the time switch. <br />(G) ACCESSORIES. Flashers (except thermal flashers) may be placed in access- <br />ible boxes or cabinets constructed of metal of a thickness or not less than <br />No. 20 U.S. standard gauge (.0375 inch). Boxes or cabinets shall be suitably <br />protected against corrosion and where exposed to moisture shall be weatherproof <br />construction. <br />Silver contact low tension flashers of not more than six circuit capacity <br />may be placed inside sign, in a separate compartment, if a section of the sign <br />can be removed to afford easy accessibility. <br />Cutouts shall be installed in a vertical position and shall not be placed <br />in the same compartment with the flasher. Cutouts, converters or any device <br />not an integral part of the sign shall not be placed inside sign. <br />No flood lights or spotlights shall be installed on a projecting sign un- <br />less built into bottom of sign box for purpose of illuminating sidewalk or to <br />illuminate sign on which placed. <br />(H) SOCKETS. Sockets for sign shall be of the switchless porcelain or molded <br />composition type, and shall be so designed as to afford permanent and reliable <br />means to prevent turning, terminals of sockets shall be kept at least one -half' <br />(J) inch from the metal of the sign or trough. Miniature sockets shall not be <br />employed for outdoor work. Pin point sockets may be used in conjunction with <br />standard wire. <br />SECTION 13. <br />WIRING ABOVE 600 vous: <br />(A) CONDUCTORS: <br />1.
