ORDINANCE NO. 4-3 J"g- <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION <br />OF POLICE REPORTING SYSTEM AND PROHIBITING <br />THE USE OF SAID REPORTING SYSTEM FOR ANY <br />PURPOSE OTHER THAN MATTERS PERTAINING TO <br />POLICE OR FIREMEN. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA: <br />SECTION I. That the Chief of Police of the Municipal City of South Bend, sub- <br />ject to the orders and directions of the Board of Public Works and Safety of <br />said. City shall have the entire control, management and supervision of the <br />Police Department Reporting System, which shall include but not be limited <br />to, the location for the placement of reporting units and the removal of same <br />to other locations at any time as well as the addition of such units at new lo- <br />cations; the management and supervision of all apparatus, instruments, wires, <br />boxes and any and all material and supplies incident to the effective operation <br />of said system. <br />SECTION II, It shall be unlawful to tamper with, injure, deface, destroy or <br />remove any sign, notice, marker, police reporting unit, or any and all other <br />portions or parts of said, police reporting system wherever it may be located. <br />SECTION III. It shall be unlawful for any person to cause said reporting <br />system to be used for any purpose other than an emergency involving the <br />South Bend Police Department or the South Bend Fire Department. <br />SECTION IV. Any person or persons found guilty of violating any of the sections <br />or provisions of this ordinance shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed Three <br />Hundred ($300. 00) Dollars. <br />
