Since that time, Carl Littrell of our Department of Public Works noted two inaccuracies in the substitute ordinance. I have corrected the items which appear in the fourth paragraph of the "Statement of Purpose and Intent" and in Section IV of the Ordinance. These changes concern the status of the Water Works as a division of the Department of Public Works and the change under Section IV concerns the source of revenues for funding the utility extension project. For your convenience I am enclosing not only the original second revised Ordinance but also a photocopy of the revised ordinance in which the changes have been highlighted. This way it will be clear to you and the Council members as to the most recent changes made. For your further information, the Board of Water Works Commissioners at its meeting on May 1, 2000 approved the form of the Ordinance No. 33-00 (as corrected) and adopted a Resolution recommending that the Council pass the Ordinance.
