ORDINANCE NO. q S o An Ordinance to amend Section 1 of Ordinance No. 4320 -60, entitled "An Ordinance establishing a new schedule of rates and charges for services rendered by the waterworks system of the City of South Bend" WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend has heretofore on May 23, 1960, adopted Ordinance No. 4320 -60 establish- ing a new schedule of rates and charges for services rendered by the waterworks system of the City of South Bend; and WHEREAS, the Common Council now finds that the rates and charges set forth in said ordinance for water consumption should be reduced and the charges for fire protection set forth in said ordinance should be increased; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND: Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 4320 -60, entitled "An Ordinance establishing a new schedule of rates and charges for services rendered by the waterworks system of the City of South Bend, " adopted on May 23, 1960, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1. That there shall be and there are hereby estab- lished for the use of and services rendered by the waterworks system of the City of South Bend the following rates and charges based upon water supplied during each monthly and /or quarterly billing period by said waterworks system:
