ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SOUTH BENB,INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Section 1• That the following described property in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, is hereby annexed to and brought within the City of South Bend, Indiana: Beginning at a point on the centerline of Rose Street 399 feet east of the centerline of Ironwood Drive, which point is on the present city limits and is in the Southwest One Quarter of Section 32, T38N, R3E, thence south along the present city limits a distance of 661 feet, more or less, thence east along the present city limits a distance of 648 feet more or less, thence north along the present city limits a distance of 661 feet more or less, to the said centerline of Rose Street, thence west along the said centerline of Rose Street a distance of 648 feet , more or less to the place of beginning, containing 9.83 acres, more or less, more commonly known as Maple Lane School. Section 2 No Building Permit shall be issued by the Building Commissioner and no change in use or bulk of structures existing shall occur until the area has been properly zoned by the City Council or a period of 180 days from the effective date of the ordinance has lapsed. Section 3 This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publicationA.
