"hhis will <br />be an important tool for us as ~,vc look to <br />attract good researchers. to bring nc~n~ <br />companies in. and help our community to be <br />able to participate in this gro~~th. <br />Mayor Lucckc pointed out that Mr. Strickler <br />distributed the press release from the <br />groundbreaking at Innovation Park to <br />contacts that ~~e do not have. We got <br />ex~x>sure in the national and international <br />press. There have been many hits on the <br />Internet to hear more about this story. We <br />believe it is appropriate from time to time to <br />hire outside firms to supplement out team. <br />We are delighted to have the opportunity to <br />work with the Blue Waters Group. The <br />Mayor encouraged the Commission to <br />support this request. <br />Mr. Strickler noted that the Bluc Waters <br />Croup was started in ?00~. 1 Ie had been <br />running coteorate communications for the <br />Uni~~crsity of Wisconsin. a large research <br />university ~a~ith a ~rcat deal of traction and <br />expertise in the tech transfa~ industry. <br />Through that job, he had huge exposure to <br />the issue of how to a>m~ey to the lay parson <br />8 <br />
