ORDINANCE NO. 4417 - - -61
<br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO AND BRINGING WITHIN THE CITY
<br />LIMITS OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CERTAIN LANDS,
<br />AS AMENDED
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
<br />SECTION I:
<br />That the following described property in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana,
<br />is hereby annexed to and brought within the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />Beginning at a point in the SW'k, Sec. 32, T38N, R3E, at the intersection
<br />of the centerline of Edison Road (the present City limits) and the
<br />centerline of Ironwood Drive, thence north along the centerline of
<br />Ironwood Drive,(which is also the west line of the SW'k, Sec. 32, T38N,
<br />R3E,) a distance of 660 feet, more or less, thence east a distance of 396
<br />feet, more or less, thence north parallel with the west lice of said
<br />Quarter Section a distance of 660 feet, more or less, thence west a dis-
<br />tance of 202 feet, more or less, thence north parallel with the west line
<br />of said Quarter Section a distance of 305 feet, more or less, to the south
<br />right -of -way line of Roosevelt Street, thence west a distance of 234 feet,
<br />more or less, to the west right -of -way line of Ironwood Drive, thence north
<br />along the west right -of -way line of Ironwood Drive to the southerly right -
<br />of -way line of South Bend Avenue (Indiana 23), thence southwesterly along
<br />the southerly right -of -way line of South Bend Avenue (Indiana 23) to a
<br />point in the SE'k, Sec.31, T38N, R3E, at the intersection of the southerly
<br />right -of -way line of South Bend Avenue (Indiana 23) and the south lot line
<br />of Lot Number 8, Wolfe's South Bend Avenue Addition, (Proposed), thence
<br />east a distance of 279 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of Lot
<br />Number 19, Pensinger's Sub., thence south a distance of 662 feet, more or
<br />less, to the southeast corner of Lot Number 1, in said Pensinger's Sub.,
<br />thence east a distance of 400 feet, more or less, thence south parallel with
<br />the east section line of the SE'k of Section 31 a distance of 660 feet, more
<br />or less, to the centerline of Edison Road (the present city limits), thence
<br />east a distance of 330 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning contain-
<br />ing 51 acres, more or less.
<br />SECTION II:
<br />This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment,
<br />approval by the Mayor and Legal publication.
