Aasc olR.a x` <br />January 8, 1962 <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend., Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />The attached petition of Place and Company, Inc, to zone <br />the recently annexed land being bounded on the north by <br />the present city limits or the south line of Scottsdale <br />Addition, on the east by a line 1,320 feet west of Iron- <br />wood Road, on the south by the centerline of Jackson <br />Road, and on the west by a line 1,788 feet east of Miami <br />Road, said parcel containing 65 acres, more or less, <br />"A" Residential Use and "A" Height and. Area District, was <br />legally advertised under date of December 23, 1961 and <br />given public hearing on January 4, 1962. The following <br />action was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found <br />that single - family use of subject property <br />would. be its highest and best use and. that it <br />conforms with the plan for future land use. <br />It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and <br />unanimously carried that the petition be <br />recommended favorably to the Common Council. <br />Very truly yours, <br />CI NG COMMISSION <br />i zl�//Robert L.
