ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~ 3 1 -~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />APPROPRIATING $1,800,000.00 FROM THE <br />LOCAL ROADS AND STREETS FUND (FUND N0.251) <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />In order to meet existing and proposed traffic demands and to provide for safe and <br />efficient movement of vehicles, certain improvements are needed on Lincolnway West within <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana. The appropriated sum of $1,800,000 will pay for design, <br />construction, and appurtenant work to reconstruct and resurface Lincolnway West in two <br />phases, from Eclipse to Elmer and from Elmer to Lafayette. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart <br />from the Local Roads and Streets Fund (#251) for the specified project in the amount set forth <br />below: <br />ACCOUNT NO. PROJECT AMOUNT <br />251-0608.431.42-74 Lincolnway West Improvements <br />from Eclipse to Lafayette $1,800,000.00 <br />SECTION II.
