ORDINANCE NO. ~ ZZO '~ ` <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $50,000 FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STATE <br />GRANT FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSISTING IN THE SUPPORT OF THE DIVISION OF <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT'S AREA REVITALIZATION EFFORTS <br />Statement of Purpose and Intent: <br />In order to assist in the provision of area revitalization effort's, monies from Fund 210 will be used <br />to fund an environmental site assessment for the Division of Economic Development: <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council authorized the Mayor to submit to the Indiana Development <br />Finance Authority an application for this Brownfields Site Assessment Grant by adopting Resolution 2963-01 <br />on January 8, 2001. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, as follows: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $50,000 is hereby appropriated from the City of South Bend's Economic <br />Development State Grant Fund (Fund 210) to be used by the Division of Economic Development to fund a <br />Lead B ased Paint survey of the Omniplex facility located at 1408 Elwood Avenue, and partially fund an initial <br />Phase II environmental site assessment of the Area A properties in the Studebaker-Oliver Redevelopment <br />project area. <br />SECTION II.
