ORDINANCE NO. L16, 6v _, - 5Z <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, <br />COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />AS AMENDED <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA: <br />Section 1: <br />That Section 1, Definitions, of Ordinance No. 3702, (as <br />amended), commonly knowE/ as the Zoning Ordinance of the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana be amended by the additinn thereto of <br />the following definitions: <br />1. <br />DWELLING UNIT - a building or a portion thereof designed or <br />1. <br />2. <br />arranged to provide living facilities for a single family. <br />2. <br />3. <br />Each "dwelling unit" shall contain permanently installed <br />3. <br />4. <br />kitchen and toilet facilities. <br />4. <br />5. <br />5. <br />6. <br />6. <br />7. <br />FLOOR AREA - The "floor area" of a building shall be taken to <br />7. <br />8, <br />be the sum of the gross areas of the several floors of the <br />8. <br />9. <br />building, measured from the exterior faces of exterior walls <br />9. <br />10. <br />or from the centerline of common walls.
