some fixed sashes, multi-paned light divisions, simple wood surrounds and a Palladian <br />window at south gable. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Based on the Historic Preservation Commission's Local Landmark Criteria's adopted by <br />the Common Council, the site and structure at 1031 E. Jefferson/123 N. Eddy has been <br />recommended to the Common Council for designation as a Local Landmark by the <br />Historic Preservation Commission. <br />The building and site meet three of the criteria: <br />1) Its embodiment of elements or architectural design, detail, material or <br />craftsmanship which represents an architectural characteristic or innovation; <br />2) Its suitability for preservation. <br />3) Its identification with the life of a person or persons of historical significants. <br />The site and structure fulfill criteria #1 as a wonderfully detailed example of a Queen <br />Anne style house complete with carriage house. This structure is rated a S/12 in the <br />Indiana Historic Sites and Structures Inventory. <br />The site and structure fulfill criteria #2 by its integrity of original construction with <br />virtually no significant alterations in over 100 years. <br />'The site and structure fulfill criteria #3 by its association with prominent John Mohler <br />Studebaker and George Mohler Witwer. <br />~F~.~ ~ Q ?Q(!1 <br />l0#13'TTA J.
